This is a shot of my friend, Rens (The one leaning) over a canal in Amsterdam from a coffeeshop.
It had just wonderful memories and I like how still he is while his partner, Sarah, is in motion.

My new favorite Framed grouping... I bought a double-holed frame... Big enough for 2 horizontal 8x10s 1 on top of the other.

I really like that first shot. The grain in the wood pulls your eye down the length of the bridge. Awesome.

Blue - they are gorgeous!
My girls are 4 now. And every bit as naughty as they look. In the 2nd picture I captured their mischief totally - which is why I'm very fond of that photograph.

Yup, all my photography. Junkyard Dog was taken in Grenada, where I spent a month building houses and such after hurricane Ivan hit there. I have more from that trip aswell if you'd like to see.
And yes, the second one is a self portrait... though about 2 years old.

How do you guys decide the right amount of focus between the petals and the stamen?
I deleted so many photos yesterday because the focus was so weird. Then it is so hard to tell what is in focus and what isn't.
But it would help if I put my contacts in before shooting too.

ayn, i'm not particularly into the bugs, but when one is sitting on a flower petal you can just not ignore it! kari's new lens begs you to get shots like that.
lepus, i just eyeball it also. i usually take lots of shots focusing on different little things and then just see what i like best when i pull them up on my computer screen.
