Lepus

First we have the pretty:

The colors really were fantastic. It was beautiful. Without a wide angle lens it was hard to capture the full view and all the wonderful colors.

The leaves became more vibrant and colorful daily. It was amazing how quickly they changed. Unfortunately, the light was quickly changing as well as a cold front moved into the area.

But then...the rains came. We got 12 inches of rain Tuesday night. Wednesday morning I woke up to this:

That's our pier; that's not our boat. No idea whose boat that is. We pulled it onto shore and hopefully the DNR can figure it out. Boats were floating down the channel all day. I considered swimming out to nab a few, har har. The water came up between 8-10 inches. Roads were washed out. We were stuck for a while. I watched my neighbor's pier wash away this morning because the waters rose even more. They are expected to continue to rise. We got the bleep out of Dodge once the roads were passable.
