Theater Hopping

Anybody ever pay to go to one movie and just hope to another theater to watch
more (like 2 or 3 in a row?).

I did it years ago, and am considering doing it tomorrow since it will be so damned hot again.

But at my age, perhaps I should just pay for them all, huh?

So anyway - what should I see (I've seen none of these)

The Island
Star Wars Ep III
Mr & Mrs Smith
War of the Worlds

There's about 12 others at the theater, but these are the ones I haven't
seen that get the best reviews.

Too bad you guys all live a gazillion miles away, I could use a movie buddy tomorrow !

Actually, I used to do that all the time, but these days I hardly have the time or patience to sit through two movies. Sneaking in used to seem a lot more fun.

Yea I know - I have gift certificates so it won't really cost me anything to pay
for them. Just seems more fun to try to get away with it.

I do that every time I go to the theater unless I'm with somebody who's all honest and crap.

A Star Wars/War of the Worlds combo could be good but maybe a bit intense.

You could see Star Wars first and the shake it off with Mr. and Mrs. Smith. I think that is what I would do.

Yes, I have snuck into movies I haven't paid for but I haven't done it in 3 years or more.

In high school, my friends and I used to stuff people in the trunk to get them in free to the drive-in movie. I was only in trunk once and I HATED IT. Ugh. How uncomfortable.

I've never done this....I'm one of those people who are all honest and crap.... images/smiley_icons/icon_biggrin.gif I always receive gift certificates for the movies also so it seems kinda creepy to then rip off another movie or 2....

Hmmmmm, maybe I will try it someday--The theater here is so cavernous--no one would ever notice.... images/smiley_icons/icon_twisted.gif

I don't think I'll hop, I'll just buy the tickets for each one I watch.

How humiliating would it be to be a 35 year old woman being escorted out of
the theater for sneaking in and not paying?

For my penance for even considering it, maybe I'll buy one of their overpriced
popcorns today.


And Lep - I think I may go with the intense line-up. Too much press on Brad and Angelina.
I think I'd be distracted in that movie thinking about the "gossip".

Update - my honesty was rewarded.

I bought two tickets when I arrived.

The first movie was delayed over 20 minutes due to technical problems,
so the manager gave all of us a free pass to use another time for the inconvenience.

So I saw two movies and technically only had to pay for one !!
